This time I would like to share with you a discussion that took place in my study group.
The question that arose is, are we supposed to help another person using Kabbalistic healing tools, or allow him to go through his process alone and overcome his life difficulties on his own.
One of the claims was, that each soul chose to go through a certain life path before reincarnating into a body, and this includes dealing with difficult situations (sometimes extremely difficult) for the purpose of growing and developing.
Therefore, we must not interfere in their process, and let the other person cope on his own.
Does this sound right to you?
Well – the commandment "Do not stand idly by your fellow's blood" is a “thou shalt not” directive among the 613 commandments in Judaism, and it obligates everyone to help their neighbor, especially when their life is in danger.
This commandment is even enshrined in Israeli law.
Unfortunately, there are people among us who go through miserable experiences, suffer from harsh decrees, and are unable to help themselves.
Although their soul has determined in advance that they will go through traumatic experiences throughout their lives, that they are destined to grow through the hard way, they still do not have the spiritual capacity necessary to extricate themselves from suffering, or they live in darkness and undeveloped awareness, and their mental powers are weakened.
When harsh decrees fall upon a person, they can bring him down to the abyss, and even cause death.
Therefore, other people around him are obligated to help him get out of the difficulty.
This also applies to people who brought their suffering upon themselves with their own hands due to ignorance and low consciousness.
The letter combination Mem-Yod-Hey (מ.י.ה) from the 72 Names of God teaches us that all the details of Creation are included together, and if humans connect in unity, the Shekhinah will be able to dwell within them and everyone will receive the light of the Creator.
A vessel in a state of separation is considered a broken vessel, and holiness cannot dwell in it.
When a person cares only for himself, and does not extend help to others, he is in isolation, and as a result, he distances himself from the Creator and cannot attract light to himself.
Every person in our lives is a part of us, and when we help others and practice the virtue of kindness, we also rectify ourselves.
Can the world be considered a wholesome world as long as there are people living in it who suffer, and next to them people who do not extend a helping hand?
